Case Study - PDCS


PDCS is a Programme and Project Management Consultancy; the business was launched in 2018 and has enjoyed four years of sustainable growth.  We have always worked on the axiom of delivering to our clients what we are excellent at and seeking out key partners to deliver their services to us where we’re not.  Due to this growth curve it has become apparent that supporting our own internal IT was not sustainable, so we went through a protracted selection process and CloudHost was and is our chosen partner.  A decision we are pleased to have made and the service has and continues to be, excellent.

The Story of PDCS

PDCS was launched in 2018 by Andrew Buxton, who brings over 30 years of experience in change and transition to the company. Through this expertise, the PDCS model brings simplicity and pragmatism, allowing for greater understanding and interaction with every client. This creates a more tailored experience, helping achieve our aim to help you deliver more projects, more successfully, for less money. 

The Challenge

Before contacting CloudHost, Andrew and his team didn't have an IT support company they could rely upon to help guide, resolve and implement the latest technology in order to make day to day tasks run more smoothly and allow the team to focus on what they should be doing. Since onboarding, PDCS have noticed the many benefits of having their own outsourced IT department and have implemented Cloud Backup, Multifactor Authentication and are now looking to migrate their website hosting to CloudHost.

Why PDCS chose CloudHost

We selected CloudHost for several reasons, primarily attention to detail and availability.  We down-selected six potential suppliers and CloudHost were the most responsive to our needs and took the time to understand exactly what we wanted from an IT Support Partner.  They were competitively priced and the fact they are relatively local to us was a bonus (even though all support is delivered to us remotely).

It is our first year with CloudHost and we have not regretted the decision.  Their attention and response to our Support needs is exemplary, I would heartily recommend them.

How did CloudHost respond?

CloudHost began with onboarding PDCS by carrying out an in-depth audit of their existing environment, analysing how the company currently operated and documenting its core infrastructure. CloudHost engineers then rolled out their Remote Monitoring and Management agent to all users computers so that they would start to be pro-actively managed. As part of the onboarding process it was identified that their were some security policies that could be implemented to further secure users accounts from unauthorised access (enabling multi-factor authentication) as well as implementing Microsoft SharePoint sites for company shared data and finally Cloud to Cloud backup of their Microsoft 365 tenant. 

The Results

Since working with CloudHost, PDCS has been able to focus on the core running of their business, leaving all IT strategy and issues to be handled by CloudHost's MSP team.
